Hi! I am having problems browsing my Linux box, running samba, from my win98 box. It is running both smbd and nmbd, it is using encrypted passwords. when i print this at a DOS prompt: net view \\tjocksmock I get the following errror message: -- Error 53: The computer name specified in the network path cannot be located. Make sure you are specifying the computer name correctly, or try again later when the remote computer is available. -- I am using the standard smb.conf file supplied with the version of samba that comes with my distribution, which is RedHat 7.2. Basicly the only shares defined are home and tmp. Any ideas or suggestions? Any help would be greatly appriciated! -- :.:: brasse
