samba - Jan 2002 - Authenication

I'm writing a CGI script that will accept the username and password for a
windows 2000 domain that will perform ntlm version 2 authentication.  Is it
possible to use/modify an authentication module from samba without
installing and configuring samba.

Your a little vauge on details here.  First of all, where are you getting
the NTLMv2 code from HEAD?  What authentication module are you talking
about?  mod_ntlm?
