samba - Nov 2001 - Samba 2.2.2 and RH 7.1 an logon scripts longers than 8 letters.

After upgrade system  RH 6.2(kernel 2.2.19) to RH 7.1(kernel 2.4.16 i
2.4.13) and recompile and install samba 2.2.1a and 2.2.2 unfortunelly logons
scripts not working if a login name have more than 8 letters.
This configuration worked on RH 6.2 and kernel 2.2.19 without any problems.
Please help as soon as possible.
