Hi All, We have previously got around the '1024 max open files' issue on solaris by compiling with sfio. This has worked fine with solaris 2.5.1 but not with solaris 8. It seems to compile OK but when I fire up samba, the smbd/nmbd daemons abort and a truss shows 'siginfo: SIGBUS BUS_ADRALN' error'. I have up'd the limit of open files on solaris to 4095 using 'limit -h 4096' so I think the problem is circumvented but I would like to get to the bottom of the sfio problem. Essentially, I have compiled sfio (under solaris 8) and this gives include files (which replace <stdio.h> in the samba source), and libs which are added to the Makefile. Compiling samba 2.0.7 (with solaris 8) without sfio is fine. Anyone else have any samba/sfio experience !?
