I have several users using samba as a server for their Goldmine5.0 database. All was fine until add a new computer with Widows 2000. Now they are having corruption problems with the Goldmine database. The problem never occurs unless the W2k computer is running Goldmine. One thing that I have noticed in the samba log reports that the W2k machine connects and then immediatly disconnects. However smbstatus shows that the machine is connected. Here are a few lines from the log: teraco-857zzx6r (192.168.2.13) connect to service pl as user jay (uid=504, gid=508) (pid 1034) [2001/01/09 12:41:27, 1] smbd/service.c:make_connection(550) teraco-857zzx6r (192.168.2.13) connect to service pl as user jay (uid=504, gid=508) (pid 1034) [2001/01/09 12:41:27, 1] smbd/service.c:close_cnum(583) teraco-857zzx6r (192.168.2.13) closed connection to service pl Even though the log shows that the connectionis closed, the client can access files on the share. The samba version is 2.0.7 on a linux 2.0.32 kernel. Thanks for any help. Cliff Cyphers
