- Are you able to "ping" your SAMBA server?
No -> Check out your networking settings on the client
- You can "telnet" from the client into SWAT to see whether it
responds:
$telnet 192.168.0.10 901
Trying 192.168.0.10...
Connected to 192.168.0.10.
Escape character is '^]'.
GET / <- Press "Enter" twice
HTTP/1.0 401 Authorization Required
WWW-Authenticate: Basic realm=3D"SWAT"
Connection: close
Content-Type: text/html
<HTML><HEAD><TITLE>401 Authorization
Required</TITLE></HEAD>
<BODY><H1>401 Authorization Required</H1>
You must be authenticated to use this service<p>
</BODY></HTML>
Connection closed by foreign host.
- Do you have the correct proxy settings in your client browser?
You may require a "no proxy" setting for 192.168.0.10
Now i run out of guesses.
