samba - Jun 1999 - MS client .or. Lan manager ??

Samba is the only server of the domain.
 clients are dos/95/98.
 under dos, should i use Ms client or lan manager ??
 to reduce memory usage, i plan to use share mode.
 any advice would be very appreciated.
