Having trouble creating smbmounts with proper permissions. Here is a ls of
the directories before the mount:
drwxrwxr-x 2 root staff 4096 Mar 6 13:22 adp/
drwxrwxr-x 2 root staff 4096 Mar 6 13:22 alumni/
drwxrwxr-x 2 root staff 4096 Mar 6 13:22 bus/
drwxrwxr-x 2 root staff 4096 Mar 6 13:25 cars/
drwxrwxr-x 2 root staff 4096 Mar 6 13:24 delta/

drwxrwxr-x 2 root staff 4096 Mar 6 13:22 stuserv/
Here is my smbmount commands:
smbmount //delta/adp /swau/adp
-o
uid=lewisc,rw,dmask=0777,fmask=0777,workgroup=admin,credentials=/credentials
smbmount //delta/alumni /swau/alumni

smbmount //omega/lewisc /swau/omega
-o

Here is the resulting ls of the directories:
dr-xr-xr-x 1 lewisc root 4096 Mar 7 11:38 adp/
dr-xr-xr-x 1 lewisc root 4096 Jan 19 2001 alumni/
dr-xr-xr-x 1 lewisc root 4096 Feb 27 15:42 bus/
dr-xr-xr-x 1 lewisc root 4096 Dec 10 10:47 cars/
drwxrwxrwx 1 lewisc root 4096 Mar 5 13:29 delta/
dr-xr-xr-x 1 lewisc root 4096 Nov 8 09:06 enroll/
dr-xr-xr-x 1 lewisc root 4096 Jan 18 2001 exec/
dr-xr-xr-x 1 lewisc root 4096 Mar 7 14:51 finaid/
dr-xr-xr-x 1 lewisc root 4096 Mar 8 08:33 ois/
drwxrwxrwx 1 lewisc root 4096 Mar 6 11:51 omega/
dr-xr-xr-x 1 lewisc root 4096 Jan 17 16:39 public/
dr-xr-xr-x 1 lewisc root 4096 Mar 6 16:46 regist/
dr-xr-xr-x 1 lewisc root 4096 Apr 16 2001 stuserv/
Notice the delta and omega shares are getting masked correctly. These are
home directories on their respective machines. But I still can't figure out
why the others aren't getting proper permissions because the credentials
file is using a login that has proper access to the shares on the remote
server.
Any suggestions?
