Does anyone out there have experience running RedHat 5.2 with Samba on a Dell PERC raid controller? I'm looking for more information. Thanks! John Rauch Clark Nuber, P.S.

Dell PowerEDGE 4200 with a PERC controller (indeed, it's an Ami MegaRAID 428, fully supported by Linux). Samba flies. -- Jorge Gonzalez <jorgegv@icai.upco.es> -o) ICAI - Universidad Pontificia Comillas /\\ Administrador de Sistemas _\_v

You MUST get the redhat boot floppies from the AMI web site. Boot with them rather than the ones which come in the redhat box. Very fast system. We've had problems with a controller failure, and other portions of the Dell box, but the raid array works really well. larry collier
