(Configuration: Server: Samba 2.0.3 on Solaris7, Client: WinNT 4.0 with SP3, encrypted passwords) I'm still having a problem with changing server passwords remote from WinNT 4.0 clients. To change the password I use NetUserChangePassword or Ctrl-Alt-Del -> Set Password (see also MS Q165384). Both works fine, when I am not logged in to the Samba server. But as soon as I am logged in, this doesn't work any more. This seems having to do something with the fact, that in the latter case, Samba tries to open a connection with IPC$ and no user name. Somehow it doesn't get the proper authentication to log in and issue the SetUserPassword command, although the authentication should be even surer in the latter case (already logged in) than in the former (no log on)!? I'll send a copy of this message also to samba-bugs@samba.org. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Christoph Zwerschke Zentrale Universit?tsverwaltung Heidelberg Abt 3.1-EDV E-Mail: christoph.zwerschke@sun1.zuv.uni-heidelberg.de WWW: http://www.zuv.uni-heidelberg.de/edv/zwerschke/
