samba - Jan 1999 - Chinese files can work in SAMBA?

I created a default folder (with a Chinese name) from my  Windows 95
through SAMBA to a Linux workstation and there was the corresponding file
in the Linux but its name was ?s??????, not the Chinsese name. It always
failed whenever I tried to rename it from my PC. The showing error message
was like "The folder xxxxx can not be found".
Can anyone tell me how to figure out the problem?
