rsync - Apr 2008 - rsync only the directories, not the files

Hello all,

can I tell rsync to sync only the directory struture but _not_ the files
inside the directories ?

----------------------------
--dir1
     ___file11
     ___file12
     --subdir11
          ___file111
          ___file112
--dir2
     ___file21
     ___file22
---------------------------

would rsync as

----------------------------
--dir1
     --dir11
--dir2
---------------------------

is this possible ?

Yes.  Pass the following option to exclude (-) everything but (!)
directories (/):

--filter='-! */'
