[Bug 3175] it would be nice if --link-dest matched up devices and symlinks too
https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3175 wayned@samba.org changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Attachment #1518 is|0 |1 obsolete| | Attachment #1519 is|0 |1 obsolete| | ------- Additional Comments From wayned@samba.org 2005-10-17 16:12 ------- Created an attachment (id=1521) --> (https://bugzilla.samba.org/attachment.cgi?id=1521&action=view) Updated patch There was a bug in the try_link_dest() function when a symlink was being copied with the same name as a non-symlink in the --link-dest dir. This version fixes that. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.samba.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug, or are watching the QA contact.

[Bug 3175] it would be nice if --link-dest matched up devices and symlinks too
https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3175 foner-rsync-bugzilla@media.mit.edu changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Severity|enhancement |normal ------- Additional Comments From foner-rsync-bugzilla@media.mit.edu 2005-10-17 17:49 ------- Thanks! Your first patch worked fine for me in my big dirvish test (because I didn't have any clashing symlinks---at least, on a very casual inspection), but I've downloaded the last patch and reapplied. Still passes make test. (Haven't done any other testing, but this version will be used in the next dirvish run, at least.) And it's certainly eliminated all the log clutter by not retransferring all those devices. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.samba.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug, or are watching the QA contact.
