wine users - Jul 2009 - How to make Chinese characters to display in wine?

I use FreeBSD.
Windows Firefox shows Chinese fine.
But some simple windows programs just show black boxes instead.

Is there a documentation anywhere explaining how to make Chinese fonts work?

Maybe bcuz of absence of fonts.
some program hard coded font name (usually windows default fonts) and if the
font does not exist those programs only shows boxes.
search FontSubstitutes in regedit, and add some aliases for windows default
fonts.
