wine users - Nov 2001 - 98, 98se or Me

I've just started trying to use wine (with no success so far) on Mandrake
8.1.  It is trying to use my WinMe setup which it detected when I
installed Mandrake. Is there more chance of success if I use 98se than
Me? Thanks.

I don't think it will do a big difference.
Most probably your lack of success is due to
bad configuration (setting everything to
native in the config file is the usual mistake)
