wine users - Oct 2001 - Morpheus

Hopefully somebody can help me.  I am trying to get Morpheus working under 
Wine.  The GUI works fine, searching works fine, but when I attempt to 
download something, it fails.  The download appears in the download tab, 
but fails before I even switch over. 

Does anybody have Morpheus working?  What am I doing wrong?  Any ideas 
would be appreciated.

Do you use latest release ? It has a bug in winsock
handling (fixed in current Cvs)

Morhpeus is just a gui that uses the fast track technology. You can
download fast track for Linux and then download some gui, like kift for it

This is what I was previously doing, but, if you visit the web page for 
gift (the opensource FastTrack client), it explains that with the latest 
version of the software, FastTrack has blocked out the Open alternatives, 
leaving me with only Morpheus as an option.

Hi,

you can use the KaZaA Linux client. It uses the Morpheus (or better 
FastTrack Netword). Download it at www.kazaa.com But the Software is still 
Alpha!

I have also tried getting Morpheus to run and failed. If you find out
how to get it working, it'd be great if you shared how you did it.
