Hey all, When I first start an Xsession (from dtlogin) I can telnet to the app server (my linux box) and run Notes under WINE and it will display on my HP box just fine. All Notes functions work, even printing. However, when I File|Exit from Notes and then try to restart it, I get an error on the host machine. here is the error message: X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) Major opcode of failed request: 1 (X_CreateWindow) Serial number of failed request: 26 Current serial number in output stream: 34 any suggestions? HPUX 11.0 displaying Notes under WINE from a Slackware 8.0 box. xhost+ enabled
I've run Wine apps remotely many time with no problem. 1. to establish a base line, can you run native linux apps remotely without this error. 2. When the application exits, does it clean up the wineserver in the remote machine? --- Larry Merritt-Gilbert <gilbertl@haulpak.com> wrote:> Hey all, > > When I first start an Xsession (from dtlogin) I can > telnet to the app > server (my linux box) and run Notes under WINE and > it will display on my > HP box just fine. I can only start the application again if I logout and log back in. BTW, this happens in CDE and KDE. I also tried to display apps to another Slackware box (KDE) and got the same error. =-=-Larry 2names> __________________________________________________ > Do You Yahoo!? > Make a great connection at Yahoo!
