wine users - Apr 2001 - GL problems with Serious Sam

Hi there, when attempting to run the above game I get an error message
like the following:

X Error of failed request:  BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
  Major opcode of failed request:  143 (GLX)
  Minor opcode of failed request:  5 (X_GLXMakeCurrent)
  Serial number of failed request:  244
  Current serial number in output stream:  244

This is after many other errors like:

fixme:system:ChangeDisplaySettingsA (0x405a6bd8,0x00000004), stub
        flags=FULLSCREEN,

Can anybody help me resolve this?
