[Pkg-xen-devel] Bug#446708: xen-utils-common: occasional failures in "xm list"
Package: xen-utils-common Severity: minor Version: 3.0.3-0-2 During a domU state transition (at least on domU shutdown), "xm list" seems to occasionally fail. This is only intermittent, but it could cause problems if there are automated tools (or unaware humans) inspecting the output or return codes of "xm list". here's a recent transcript (the numbers preceding the bash prompts are the return codes of the previous command). This is on an up-to-date etch dom0. 0 foo:~# xm shutdown grumpy 0 foo:~# xm list Name ID Mem(MiB) VCPUs State Time(s) Domain-0 0 128 2 r----- 14313.6 grumpy 1 768 1 -b---- 50343.0 dopey 2 1000 2 r----- 11712.3 0 foo:~# xm list Error: Device 0 not connected Usage: xm list [options] [Domain, ...] List information about all/some domains. -l, --long Output all VM details in SXP --label Include security labels 1 foo:~# xm list Name ID Mem(MiB) VCPUs State Time(s) Domain-0 0 128 2 r----- 14317.1 dopey 2 1000 2 -b---- 11715.6 0 foo:~# Thanks for maintaining xen in debian! --dkg -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
