Hi All, I'm trying to migrate from an NT4 domain to samba-3... sorry this is so long... when I run the "net rpc vampire" I get errors for users and machines in uppercase or contain uppercase chars. I'm in a test env before I go live! I'm on a gentoo distro w/ shadow. useradd FOO errors, this might be the culprit... I set up some dummy accts and made them members of

Samba 4.0.3 on CentOS 6.3 as PDC.
Any help here? I have included all of the output of the suggested diags that Thomas said I should run, but I admit that I'm not sure what I'm looking for, as I'm not familiar with RPC functionality on Linux. Something is not working with RPC on my Samba 4.0.3 server. (FWIW, it doesn't work with IPTables stopped either.) > On Mon, Feb 25, 2013 at 2:21 PM, Mike Stroven wrote:

lme() direction
Hi guRus, I'm looking for advice on a good way to approach analysis of some multi-level data I've obtained. I had humans classify words and measured response time. Words were 10 positive words ("happy", "joy", etc) and 10 negative words ("sad","grumpy", etc). Words were also presented in either white, red or green color. All variables were

regarding ssl certificates
Excuse dopey question. I'm not exactly clear about certificates. Apache2 default install has this snake oil certificate Can make a new one for apache Can make one for dovecot Can make one for ssl Is there supposed to be the one (self signed ) certificate pair in one place for the machine that each process hands out ? Can they be moved to another machine ? mick -- Key ID C7D6E24C

Can only log on to domain, not local machine
Used Administrator login on XP client to grant domain users rights to log on to client machine (such as when offline). All attempts to log on to local machine fail authentication (error "System could not log you on. Check user name and domain..."). Everything else works fine, including logon to domain and synchronization of offline folders. Frustrating having all data available offline

methods function
Hi everyone, I've noticed that the methods function is incomplete. The obvious example is if I write a function "$.foo", it is not picked up by methods: > "$.foo" <- function(object, name) get(name, envir=object[[1]]) > "$<-.foo" <- function(object, name, value) {assign(name, value, envir=object[[1]]); object} > happy <-

Oddity: I seem to have a variable in a dataframe that doesn't show in colnames() - can anyone advise?
I may be being dopey, I surely am, but I'm baffled by this. I've been working, on and off for a few days in R version 2.13.0 (2011-04-13) i386-pc-mingw32/i386 (32-bit) working it through ESS. I've got a dataframe created a couple of days back, during the session: > dim(AllDat) [1] 27270 94 I came back this morning and misremembered my variables and thought I had a variable
