asterisk users - Jun 2006 - What's the current state of using shared lines in asterisk?

I'm trying to get to where I can program a phone to have 3-6 buttons each
representing the same extension number.  Also, I'd like to have them appear
on more than one phone like key systems do.

Is asterisk able to set up shared lines in this manner yet?
