Snom 320 Shared line + speed dial
Hi All, Just after some info on the Snom 320 before I got out an buy some... I'm looking to use the shared line feature and hints with * so that i can monitor the activity of other users, but I'm not sure If this also turns the programmable buttons into a speed dial for quick transfers etc (or if it can be done). Ideally, I just want the users to be able to see the state of other users

[LLVMdev] Can we establish layering for the LLD libraries? Current state is a bit of a mess...
I wanted to go through and map out the layering of LLD's libraries today and found that it's essentially impossible. I think some serious cleanup is needed here. Let's start with the purely link-level dependencies encoded in the CMake build: Curently the Core library depends on the ReaderWriter/Native library, which links against the ReaderWriter library, which links against the Core

GXP-2000 and Shared Line Appearances
I have a client with 20 GXP-2000s. Everything seems to be working fine. However, after a couple of weeks of use, the client is having a hard time adjusting to the new IP based phone systems and only misses one feature from their old Lucent system. That is, they had 8 analog lines before and all their old Lucent phones showed a button for each line. So, it was easy for anyone to say,

Current state of Asterisk and Virtualization?
Hi all, In a pure VoIP env, what is the current state of do's and don't s of virtualizing * in order to provide multiple separate instances, say for hosting lots of Asterisk-gui/FreePBX/a-n-other gui? I've read lots of threads going back to 2007 and I'm in the general option that kvm is the way to go now, if at all. If dadhi_dummy/zt_dummy is still an issue for conferencing etc.

Snom 190, led and shared lines with asterisk
Hi All, I am trying to setup my snom 190 so that the LED's light up when one of my shared lines are in use. e.g. Extension 2 should ring on the snom and the phone associated with extension 2 and I should be able to see if the phone associated with extension 2 is making a call on the Snom. I think this is achieved with hints but don't seem to be getting on very well with it, does

asterisk slows down when unplugging internet cable with VoIP lines
Hi, I have an Asterisk 1.2.9.1 on a Debian Sarge distro connected to a VoIP provider via internet. I noticed Asterisk gets slow and behaves in strange manner if I unplug my internet cable from the PBX: for example I get incoming calls after seconds or I get no audio during calls. I thought it was something connected to DNS resolution so I put VoIP provider addresses inside /etc/hosts but

text editor for R - summary on R-WinEdt
I implemented Uwe's R-WinEdt package as a closer to true WinEdt mode so that WinEdt could be used with other modes as well. I sent Uwe the implementation and we talked a little about cleaning it up, but I haven't gotten around to it and I don't think he has either. It is still a little messy as Uwe noted below but it works well. There is no code changes, just running a WinEdt macro

shared lines (sla) with Asterisk 1.4.26, any hints?
Hello, I'm trying to setup shared lines with Asterisk 1.4.26 and Snom phones. It seems that Asterisk works correctly (I get "State: SLA_TRUNK_STATE_RINGING" from the CLI) but the lamps on the phone are not blinking even if I setup one function key on my phones as shared line with number: <sip:line1 at 192.168.0.123> where line1 is my DAHDI/32 Any hints appreciated. :)

Sipura SIP Phones Multi-Line Appearance... How to use? |----->WAS----> NEWBIE Question: Asterisk with multiline/button phones
Still looking for some direction with this subject: I think the term is called multi-line appearance.... Is this something that is directly supported in Asterisk? I can't seem to find any information on it or how to actually use it.... This is where you have several sipura-841 SIP phones for example... if someone pickes up 'line1' I'd like the light to come on on ALL phones to

asterisk call parking + SNOM lighted buttons?
I'm trying to get call parking working with the lighted buttons on the SNOM 200. I have set the 5 buttons to "Park Orbit", for extensions 700-704. Pressing the first button (x700) does park the call. However, the remaining buttons (x701-704) don't allow me to pick up parked calls, or show parking status via the LEDs. I can only pick up parked calling by manually dialing the

*** Asterisk Sun/Monday News: Time to download, Scotty!
This week starts with the exciting news: We're getting close to Asterisk 1.0 again. After the failed attempt earlier this year, we've been able to remove a lot of the MAJOR/CRASH bugs from the bug tracker and Mark feel's it's time to target 1.0 again. At this point, the community needs to work as a community, spending extra time on finding bugs, solving issues, improving

Snom and multiple lines
How do I get the lights to work correctly on a SNOM 200 when I configure it for more than one line? The lights stay on solid, although the buttons work correctly for making calls. Thanks in advance. Dennis Engdahl SnowCrest, Inc. www.snowcrest.net
