[Asterisk-Users] playing audio to one of several bridged channels
Hello, I know that if I originate a call, and then use the dial application in a dialplan to dial out on another channel, asterisk natively bridges the two channels. I also know that if I use -t I can stop this native bridging and allow transfers... is there a simple way that I can stream audio to only one of the channels? When the channels are bridged do they effectively become one channel? and if so, is there a way to temporarily break them apart? Thanks in advance for clarification. Jason

Jason, what you are looking is know as whisper (some call it injection), at the moment the only thing you can do is split the 2 channels play the audio, the rebrdige them, which could be accomplished with the manager interface (FOP could do that easily for you). Also search the Asterisk-biz list for whisper in the last months archive, you should come up with something.
