Please suggest a good service providers that I can use with asterisk for outbound and inbound calls. -- With regards, Vicky Shrestha System Director WorldLink Communications Jawalakhel , Kathmandu, Nepal

So far I have tested www.teliax.com, and www.livevoip.com Livevoip has had some problems in the past, and they are fixing their DID problems now. However, their rates are very good. I just signed up for teliax yesterday and so far it has been very straight foward. If you use AMP I have put up a quick howto to get them up and running. Their pay as you go service is a little more expensive than others, but overall it is still a good deal. -Jake On Wed, 23 Mar 2005 19:16:49 +0545, Vicky Shrestha <mail@vickysh.wlink.com.np> wrote:> Dear all, > > I have tried a lot of things to make broadvoice work with asterisk , but I > failed each time. > > Please suggest a good service providers that I can use with asterisk for > outbound and inbound calls. > > -- > With regards, > > Vicky Shrestha > System Director > WorldLink Communications > Jawalakhel , Kathmandu, Nepal > _______________________________________________ > Asterisk-Users mailing list > Asterisk-Users@lists.digium.com > http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users > To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: > http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users >
You should try Fordvoice http://www.fordvoice.org they are cheaper than broadvoice also. and have the same service. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Vicky Shrestha" <mail@vickysh.wlink.com.np> To: "Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion" <asterisk-users@lists.digium.com> Sent: Wednesday, March 23, 2005 8:31 AM Subject: [Asterisk-Users] Broadvoice alternatives> Dear all, > > I have tried a lot of things to make broadvoice work with asterisk , but I > failed each time. > > Please suggest a good service providers that I can use with asterisk for > outbound and inbound calls. > > -- > With regards, > > Vicky Shrestha > System Director > WorldLink Communications > Jawalakhel , Kathmandu, Nepal > _______________________________________________ > Asterisk-Users mailing list > Asterisk-Users@lists.digium.com > http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users > To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: > http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users > >

Other than that, configuration itself took about 10~15 minutes with some google search to fix my mistakes...

Aside from that, had six DIDs from www.myphonecompany.com for a little over a month, and no complaints yet. Unfortunately, they only do SIP at this time.
Hi We have 11 DID with broadvoices... So far so good regards Saul Diaz Cripiland LC
For me it was impossible to make a call with broadvoice without the patch for the file channels/chan_sip.c Try to search the list, I had posted it February or March 2005, or see www.voip-info.org Dimitris
You might try sixtel.net / iax.cc. We've had relatively good luck with them. The good thing is they support both IAX and SIP. In addition they support G729a unlike Broadvoice which only support ulaw from what I understand. Bottom line...I still have not completely eliminated dropped calls and choppy sound. Since adding QoS and changing to the G729a codec 5 days ago we haven't had an incident of either yet. Time will tell... I was having issues with outbound calls dropping after ~40 secs and the only patches I found had already been included so they were no help to me. Checked out a fresh cvs last night and it's worked perfectly. JD, I was having a major audio chop issue on the dca proxy. I switched to lax and for the most part, it's smooth (strange since I'm on the east coast, but whatever works).
