There were reasons for not giving access to the "admin area" via the
list, which contains the files needed to configure the UIP200. Since
the first phone was shipped from uniden 2 days before I received mine,
they created a username and password for me so I could get access to the
materials I needed to get up and running, since the support reps didn't
even have the appropriate information to provide me. (Supporting new
products is hell)
So, to save anyone from picking up the phone and calling uniden to get
the information yourselves, I've taken the liberty of calling to get it
for those who need it....

The username is: bcs_uip200
The password is: sdth48
In this section, you can find the Admin guide as well as firmware
upgrades.
In my review, I posted that I had a DHCP issue with sonicwall's, and
that there was no local dtmf feedback.
Uniden worked with some ethereal traces I provided them, and just this
Tuesday sent me a fixed firmware file which fixes my DHCP issue. To my
knowledge, this has not been publically released yet. If you run into
the same issue as I, let me know and I'll send you the firmware file.
If you want to fix the no local dtmf feedback issue, set dtmfmode=inband
in your sip.conf.

Yes, I'm very familiar with Brian's "review".
"Review" != "Tips or
Tricks".
To quote from it: "Once I gained access to the appropriate admin guide,
I whipped up a few
of the configuration files on my TFTP server"
How did he gain access? What were the config files? Basic examples? You
see,
he plainly said that there were issues. Not what they were and how he
solved them, just that they were there..
