Hi Mark,
I have tried to install Asterisk on a virtual linux box, over VMWare 4.0
Workstation, with a WinXP Pro host.
Before applying Michael patch, the sound of all the asterisk prompts was
very very choppy, but everithing else works fine.
The processor or memory load was very low.
I have tried several dummy devices without any succes (like ztdummy, etc.)
After I have applied the Michael patch, everything was perfect, including
the local prompts, voicemail and music on hold.
Nobody can now observe that Asterisk is installed on a virtual macine an not
on a real hardware platform.
I have RH Linux 9.
If you need further details about my installation, please send me a mail.
Thank you for your very good job done with Asterisk.
Best regards,
Dan
