More Broadvoice woes. Who's fault could this be?
...this (I was going to send to Asterisk-Biz, but seems more for this one). Anyway, I'm having more problems with Broadvoice. I still can't get calls unless I comment out the secret= line in sip.conf, but now I can't even place test calls to it from my cell phone. When I do, I get a fax macine. Debugging SIP shows NO call activity what so ever. This call clearly isn't being directed to my BV number. If I try to call it using Skype I get the same thing. Calling from a land line I don't the fax machine, but rather a fast busy signal because my Asterisk box is rejecting the call...

Disk Space Error
...e a samba server (3.0.10) that was compiled and installed this morning. I'm seeing a strange problem that I haven't seen before with Samba. No matter if I connect from my Linux laptop, or my WinXP desktop I receive the error stating "Not Enough Free disk space" (From the windows macine), and "cp: writing `public-share/gmp-4.1.4.tar.gz': No space left on device" from the linux machine. I have over 16Gb of space on the partition that the share resides. [root samba-share]# df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/hda1 726M 668M...

(no subject)
I already installed rsync on both my server(running FREEBSD 4.4) and win98 macine. My LAN don't connect to the internet so it is quite secure, is it possible if I don't use OpenSSH? when I run "rsync 172.22.0.104::", I get this message: "failed to cennect to 172.22.0.104 - Resource is remote" 172.22.0.104 is the ip address of my server. It is r...

Home drives not as documented
...ly to the users home directory, and store their profile in ~/.profile, but the WinXP clients map H: to ~/.profile. I've tried various combinations of logon home and logon path, but whatever I set logon home to, is where H: gets mapped to by WinXP I could change it to \\%L\%u but then the Win95 macines dump their profile in the home directory. I want both XP and 95 boxes to have H: as their home dir. I'd appreciate some help. Thanks John Ryan Adelaide AUS

SpanDSP - Still can't send
...WiKi'd until physically exhausted and searched through every Asterisk repository that I can find, all to no avail... No matter which version of SpanDSP I use, with which version of libtiff, Asterisk, ... I simply cannot send faxes. I can receive faxes *perfectly* (sending from standard fax macine on POTS) into tiff file (via Digium analogue card), but when I try to send the same file back, to the same fax machine, nothing happens. The fax rings, answers, then disconnects shortly after (fails negotiation?). I would love to enable logging in detail, but am unsure where to enable logging...

Rsync sometimes decides to delete all data
Hello, I run into some really strange case I haven't seen so far over the years. I syncing a lot of different macines, raspberry pis to a backup server nightly. Lately one of them misbehaves. Interested in helping Nouveau
...kind of old (may), and it doesn't really indicate priorities. So I thought I'd list my skillset and interests here, and let those who are experienced with nouveau development point me to a good place to start. I'm currently running a P4 (presler) with a GeForce 6600. The family gaming macine is being upgraded soon (hopefully before the end of the month, it keeps getting put off). When that happens, I'll have a Core 2 Quad (Kentsfield), and I've bought myself a GeForce 8600 (though I haven't set it up in my P4 system - waiting for the kentsfield). I'm self-taught in Op...

Capturing Packets -- Ethereal
This may be off topic, but I think my ethereal question might be simple enough. I am presently compiling ethereal on a CentOS platform to check it out. But the packets I want to monitor are actually on a different CentOS platform, and I'd rather not install Ethereal on it, if for no other reason I don't have X-Windows installed on that platform. My question is, can I monitor/write

Preloading WINS registrations
I have a couple of Samba boxes, one of which is dedicated to WINS. The other I dole out anti-virus stuff to 3,500 odd PCs from. This second one will disappear from the WINS server from time to time which is a bit of a pain. I use nmblookup -R -U <wins_ip> <2nd_box_ip> to test for it. All clients are configured as "P" nodes so WINS is a bit essential. To bring it back I

...huge(3.5+G) text file on machine 'A', which I want to process on machine 'B' using read.table (one line or a chunk at a time). On machine B, I would like to use NWS and multiple R scripts to process each line/chunk. To do this I am running netcat (http://netcat.sourceforge.net/) on macine 'A' and sending data to machine 'B's R socket server. Here is the data that I have on machine 'A' ---data--- RELIANCE,1200.00,03-NOV-2008,09:00:02:286 RELIANCE,1200.20,03-NOV-2008,09:00:02:287 RELIANCE,1200.10,03-NOV-2008,09:00:02:289 RELIANCE,1201.10,03-NOV-2008,09:00:02...

Kernel selection by hardware?
...olved it with a simple kernel that ran on every machine and some initramfs magic with a statically compiled kexec contained in intramfs that loaded the special kernel (in this case via network) and kexec'd it. This should work for your problem as well. If you already built kernels for every macine, it should be OK to modify some 20 lines of shell code for the initramfs. But now it's getting off the topic of this list, contact me on other channels if you need more information. Large File Copy to Large ext3 RAID5 Array Often Stalls
...failing or 2 fully functional clients. However, I can successfully copy the large files across the network from all 5 clients to an empty or nearly empty subdirectory on the raid5 array. Then I move the files down to the subdirectory as desired. That's my workaround for the 3 "bad" macines. (Yuck!) Now, here's what happens from the server console: if I copy a large file from a different drive (a mirror pair) on the server to the raid5 ext3 array, I have the same kind of problems that I have with the 3 networked clients. If I copy the large files from the mirror pair to an e...

Limiting bandwidth usage - where to begin
Hi, I am very new in this list.. I want each of my internet users to be limited in his/her usage of bandwidth. The limitation will be done in my squid (linux) box, as they all have to be authenticated by squid before going to the internet jungle.. Then anybody here could tell me where to begin to do such thing ? Any idea/solution would be very appreciated TIA regards, aqil
