After testing runlevel 5 i noticed that I cant switch to text consoles. So I went back to runlevel 3, but now normal users cant use graphic environment. I just got a black screen and an error message: Xlib: connection refused by server, Protocol unsupported by server root can start xfce normally. Any idea about whats happenning? -- Roger D. Does your machine hostname resolve in DNS? Have you set selinux to strict instead of targetted, if it's enabled? -- Jim Perrin System Architect - UIT Ft Gordon & US Army Signal Center

Note that when switching to a text console from an X session, you have to use [Ctrl]-[Alt]-[Fn] instead of the [Alt]-[Fn] you'd use from a text console. From a text console, you can switch back to X with [Alt]-[F7]. ---- Nels Lindquist <*> Information Systems Manager Morningstar Air Express Inc.
