I just set up postfix with some virtual domains and users. Dovecot made some dbs in /etc/dovecot. a passdb and userdb. the passdb file has passwords in there and I want to at least know what it is. I have tried to do 'echo -n mypassword | openssl md5 -hex' and insert that into them but it seems to not work. Probably something I am doing wrong. I looked at the archive and could not figure out how to search it. Anyway how do i change a password? Thanks. this is passdb: andreux at bla.com:$1$G/FqlOG5$Vj0xmc9fKY.UVr8OWr/7C1 andrew at bla.com:$1$G/FqlOG5$Vj0xmc9fKY.UVr8OWr/7C1 sikki at bla.com:$1$G/FqlOG5$Vj0xmc9fKY.UVr8OWr/7C1 amanda at bla.com:$1$G/FqlOG5$Vj0xmc9fKY.UVr8OWr/7C1 info at bla.com:$1$G/FqlOG5$Vj0xmc9fKY.UVr8OWr/7C1 help at bla.com:$1$G/FqlOG5$Vj0xmc9fKY.UVr8OWr/7C1 andrew at blu.biz:$1$G/FqlOG5$Vj0xmc9fKY.UVr8OWr/7C1 andreux at blu.biz:$1$G/FqlOG5$Vj0xmc9fKY.UVr8OWr/7C1 eric at blu.biz:$1$G/FqlOG5$Vj0xmc9fKY.UVr8OWr/7C1 jjenkins at blu.biz:$1$G/FqlOG5$Vj0xmc9fKY.UVr8OWr/7C1 -- -- Michael H.
