It is sad that such a lovely file system is now in Oracle''s unresponsive hands. I hope someone builds another open file system just like it. I could never find anything like it to protect my data like it does.

Also, if you do your homework, there is a BSD version floating around, and a Linux version also. To boot, Illumos has the last open source release which brings it to Openindania. "anything like it to protect my data..." Go use Linux, and BTRFS. It is GPL, and guess what. Also developed by Oracle. But it''s GPL, and it''s included by default in many of the latest linuxes.
