Hi all, i am about to put together a one month test configuration for a graphics-production server (prepress-filer that is). I would like to test zfs on a x4200 with two sas2sata-jbods attached. Initially i wanted to use an infortrend fc2sata-jbod-enclosure but these are at out of production and 2gbit only. The alternative would be tthe menitoned sas2sata-jbod (S12S-J1002-R) but i would need two pci-e sas-controller - without raid functionality - known to run extremly well under solaris x86. Any hints? TIA, Tom This message posted from opensolaris.org

From what I''ve been able to tell, anything based on the 106x chipset will work. That''s what the current line of cards Sun is selling anyway. -brian -- "Perl can be fast and elegant as much as J2EE can be fast and elegant. Any hints? The LSI1064 and LSI1068 chip lines are supported with the mpt(7d) driver. We have support for mpxio with those chips and appropriate attached storage as of snv_63 (well, snv_70, really). I expect to see the backport appear in S10u5. James C. McPherson -- Senior Kernel Software Engineer, Solaris Sun Microsystems
