The ZFS discuss list is re-delivering old messages. Have the problems with the archives been fixed? Nico --

The mailman archives are all accurate (as far as I can tell). We''ve complained about this before, and IIRC it was a known problem. Nico --

Having to subscribe to post considered obnoxious (Re: [zfs-discuss] OSOL mailing list issues)
Also, I''m getting tired of replying to some e-mail only to get a "post awaits moderator approval" reply. I understand why we do that for non-subscribers. And I guess we wouldn''t want to by default treat @sun.com posters as permitted to post w/o moderation. But it''s bloody obnoxious. I don''t want to subscribe to every OSOL discuss list, really. The current policy for zfs-discuss is to reject any non-member mail, though all "*.sun.com" addresses are automatically accepted. What we really need is something like "if you have an opensolaris.org account" or "if you are subscribed to _any_ opensolaris list", but mailman doesn''t seem to integrate well with other systems. - Eric -- Eric Schrock, Solaris Kernel Development http://blogs.sun.com/eschrock

The folks working on the SCM app right now should be able to turn their attention to the mailman changes in June. It came once to the zfs list on 5/5 and was cross posted to the nfs list. It was only approved by the nfs admin today, therefore getting delivered today, making it seem like a repeat. At least this is what i am seeing on my end (I have the message twice, once for each list). I am looking for other examples, but if you have any other message id''s handy, please send them along and I''ll investigate. How can I configure it to reject non-member mail? I completely agree with the "if you''ve subscribed to one, you''re accepted for all" policy. Especially with our rampant cross posting. Casper
