I''m still learning about the features and ideas behind ZFS, and I''m wondering if there are any plans to implement ''tiered storage'' concepts into the storage pool? For example, creating a pool across multiple types of disk and utilizing some policy to move location of data based on file system attributes. best, Scott

Agreed completely - having this class of features in ZFS would not only be quite nice, it would continue to blur the line between ZFS, Volume Managers and filesystems. Thanks for the reply - I was mostly curious if it had already been discussed. Scott
