zfs discuss - Feb 2006 - ZFS on Solaris 10

Hi , maybe this question has been posted like 1 thousand times...
but im new in the list , and i hope someone can help me , im giving  
access to a zone i installed in a lofs device  i created the device  
with lofiadm in a zero file and then
i newfs the device.
/dev/lofs/1 for being specific , i need quotas in the zone because im  
having security issues , but quotas as i know are not available
in zones , i need ZFS partitions and i currently have UFS , but i  
dont have ZFS in my solaris 10 , is there any way to install as a  
module or how can i upgrade the global zone
to support ZFS , without reinstalling the whole operating system (im  
in a remote machine in another country im renting the server i dont  
have physical access)

Currently ZFS is not supported in Solaris 10 - you need Solaris
Express which means reinstall. Or you can wait for Solaris 10 update2
which should have ZFS included then you will probably ablo to upgrade
or patch system to get ZFS. U2 will be available probably May-Jun this
year.
