Ym4r user - Oct 2008 - Controls/Information Pop-up suddenly stopped working?

Has there been a change too Google maps that breaks current YM4R  
implemetations? These sites have started not showing controls and/or  
markers, although I don''t believe the YM4R code has changed.

BTW: Are there any example YM4R sites (live code, not just code  
samples) that I could look at in the future in such cases?

Hmm, requesting an older version of the Maps API helps:

a = "<script
src=\"http://maps.google.com/maps?file=api&amp;v=2.132d&amp;key=#
{api_key}&amp;hl=#{options[:hl]}\"
type=\"text/javascript\"></script>\n"

replacing 2.x with 2.132d.

Not a nice solution, but a quick one.
