A release candidate for synaptics 1.3 is now available. Since the last snapshot two months ago a few patches went in again that change the behaviour: - the default speed has been increased again after quite a few complaints that the speed was too slow. - the driver now defaults to two-finger emulation on if a valid width is reported by the kernel. - coasting is now enabled by default, using a friction parameter to stop coasting after a bit. I think we're in good shape for 1.3 and I don't expect any patches other than minor build fixes or similar. Larger features are for 1.4 again, which hopefully isn't a long way off. Chris Bagwell (7): Make default checks for x, y, w, and p separate. Expose pressure support in capabilities property. Expose width support in capabilites properity. Document Capabilities property additions in man Default to 2-finger emulation when HW supports it Align EmulateTwoFinger* docs to current behavior. Reset X/Y hist on multi finger transition to fix jumps Patrick Curran (1): Added "friction physics" so coasting can stop on its own. Peter Hutterer (6): Remove one leftover xcalloc. synclient: don't print "missing" if a property doesn't exist. Up the precision of MaxSpeed and AccelFactor log output. Increase the default acceleration factor. Enable coasting by default with a value of 20. synaptics 1.2.99.901 git tag: xf86-input-synaptics-1.2.99.901 http://xorg.freedesktop.org/archive/individual/driver/xf86-input-synaptics-1.2.99.901.tar.bz2 MD5: fc4c99046af0be9d67f1f5a1911b6ed5 xf86-input-synaptics-1.2.99.901.tar.bz2 SHA1: 05359de16dba3b644a9fa3a787b2ba7614d7e3c8 xf86-input-synaptics-1.2.99.901.tar.bz2 http://xorg.freedesktop.org/archive/individual/driver/xf86-input-synaptics-1.2.99.901.tar.gz MD5: 6ecdf3fd18f60c91be785c6cc47d238a xf86-input-synaptics-1.2.99.901.tar.gz SHA1: a8501aaa49316c33f664d46273e1242f101c1a90 xf86-input-synaptics-1.2.99.901.tar.gz -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
