Xen devel - Jul 2013 - Question about VM snapshot with xl and upstream qemu and qed disk format

After very good test of qdisk I searched about snapshot, I found this 
project:

Is the xl snapshot with upstream qemu under development?

What about qed disk format status and the implementation on xl? I
didn''t
see nothing about.

Well, I seem to recall reading that Xen''s GSoC submissions had not been
accepted and piece of work you pointed out appears to be a GSoC candidate. So, I
am guessing that no progress has been made. Only a guess, though.

However, I believe a small patch I wrote has been incorporated into 4.4 that
allows "xl save -p" which saves a domain and leaves it paused, so you
can perform your own snapshotting before you unpause it. I am not sure if that
helps you in the meantime.
