Hi, We have a requirement that we need to run multiple linux OSes on a multi-core powerpc platform. It seems that Xen does not support the architecture anymore. The mailing list for the architecture does not exist. I am new to virtual environment, can someone send pointer on why Xen does not support PPC? What are the alternatives for the architecture? Ok. It seems that we can avoid porting Xen to newer PPC platforms. Sorry read the previous reply as ".... we can not avoid porting Xen to newer PPC platforms.". May be we should start from version 3.2 that supported PPC. Any input on how we should start is welcome. Kallol Biswas writes ("RE: [Xen-devel] Xen on PPC Platform"):> Sorry read the previous reply as ".... we can not avoid porting Xen > to newer PPC platforms.".We would certainly welcome back the ppc port.> May be we should start from version 3.2 that supported PPC. Any > input on how we should start is welcome.Much has changed since 3.2. It''s probably worth reading the code for the i386/amd64/ia64 code in xen-unstable and seeing what you need to do, roughly, and using the old 3.2 port as a kit of possibly-wrong parts.
