>From the thread it looks like it made it in post 3.4.Can this be made available to Xen in existing distros ? (RHEL/SLES) So that people can reliably use it ? Also, it is not clear (to me) if this is done for PV or HVM or both ? The patches that were applied to xen-unstable in May 2009 should be easy to apply to xen-3.4-testing.hg aswell.. I think. I think Citrix XenServer and Xen Cloud Platform (XCP) are going to use blktap2.. with Xen 3.4.> Also, it is not clear (to me) if this is done for PV or HVM or both ? >I believe it''s for both PV and HVM, just like the first generation blktap is. -- Pasi> Thanks > -nb > > --- On Fri, 1/1/10, Pasi Kärkkäinen <pasik@iki.fi> wrote: > > > From: Pasi Kärkkäinen <pasik@iki.fi> > > Subject: Re: migration and snapshots. > > To: "J Nb" <j_nwb@yahoo.com> > > Cc: "kvm" <kvm@vger.kernel.org> > > Date: Friday, January 1, 2010, 9:12 AM > > On Wed, Dec 30, 2009 at 10:55:34AM > > -0800, J Nb wrote: > > > What would be a good storage topology for allowing for > > migration as well as support snapshots (for backup) > > > > > > Would love to hear recommendations as well as details > > on setup that people are using.
