Hi, I have some confusion of building xen. When I do a "xm dmesg", the output gives me (XEN) Xen trace buffers: disabled. However, I still can use xenmon to get the trace information. Is this a bug of xm dmesg? Second, in the user manual, it says trace is only enabled in the debug mode. But by default building xen is not in debug mode. So I think now trace is by default enabled in the build process whatever debug or not. Is the correct? Thanks. - Hui _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-devel

Re: [Xen-devel] Is trace defaulty enabled in Xen built? bug?
The message just means that trace records are currently not being dumped. xenmon/xentrace trigger this trace collection. -dulloor On Sat, May 23, 2009 at 11:39 AM, Hui Kang <hkang@cs.sunysb.edu> wrote:> Hi, > I have some confusion of building xen.
