Xen devel - Feb 2008 - 2.6.24.2 domU kernel hangs at "installing Xen timer for CPU 0" if CONFIG_SMP is not set

Hi,

I''m trying to boot a paravirtualized vanilla kernel on xen 3.2.0 and
hit a
kernel hang.
hypervisor is xen 3.2.0 non-PAE 32bit
dom0 kernel is 2.6.18.2 (tag 3.2.0 from mercurial repos)
We have some old 2.6.16 domU kernels which boot fine on the dom0.
With CONFIG_SMP=y kernel boots past the "installing Xen timer for CPU
0" line,
but hits a BUG() later (see my other post)

dmesg and config attached.
