With the ACPI S-state patches in, is it expected that hibernation is working (along with suspend to RAM), even in the presence of active DomU-s (i.e. are all the scripts hooked up so that guests get saved before Dom0 goes to sleep)? Domains don''t need to be saved. They continue to reside in RAM across S3. -- Keir On 29/11/07 16:28, "Jan Beulich" <jbeulich@novell.com> wrote:> With the ACPI S-state patches in, is it expected that hibernation is working > (along with suspend to RAM), even in the presence of active DomU-s (i.e. > are all the scripts hooked up so that guests get saved before Dom0 goes > to sleep)? > > Thanks, Jan > > > _______________________________________________ > Xen-devel mailing list > Xen-devel@lists.xensource.com > http://lists.xensource.com/xen-devel_______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-devel
But I asked about suspend to disk...>>> Keir Fraser <Keir.Fraser@cl.cam.ac.uk> 29.11.07 17:33 >>>Domains don''t need to be saved. Hibernation (typically ACPI S4, or suspend to disk) is _not_ expected to work. For S4, dom0 additionally needs to save the memory image to disk.
