I hope same is with USB.Can you check? > Is it USB virtualize ( frontend/backend ) drivers implemented at > DOMUs?Not for PV guests at the moment. There were patches around in the Xen 2 and early Xen 3 days, but they''ve not been merged. It is possible to add options to an HVM config file in order to pass USB devices through to a fully virt guest. I''ve heard varying reports of how well this works, but it is at least possible. An option for PV guests would be to use PCI passthrough to pass through a whole USB controller, if you have one free. Cheers, Mark -- Dave: Just a question. What use is a unicyle with no seat? I hope same is with USB.Can you check? There''s no front / backend drivers for USB at the moment (although there were patches, ages ago). See my other e-mail to Amit for more details. Thanks for correcting me Mark. > Thanks for correcting me Mark.Well, you were right in that the drivers have existed in the past. They just don''t exist in the current tree. I wrote the original usbfront/back for Linux 2.4. Harry Butterworth wrote drivers for Linux 2.6. Both sets of patches should either be on the mailing list, or (for my code) in the Xen 2 revision history. IBM were going to get somebody to revive the project, but I''ve not heard anything about it for ages, so I don''t know if they''re still keen.
