[Xen-devel] VMX status report 12591:7826e5482d42 with BLOCK issue
We have tested the latest xen on VT platform with Intel 915/E8500 chipset. Here is the test summary: New issues: =========================1). [Block issue] IA32/PAE: Booting dom0 failed in IA32 and PAE platform. The console log is the following, NET: Registered protocol family 17 Using IPI No-Shortcut mode Freeing unused kernel memory: 188k freed Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init! (XEN) Domain 0 crashed: rebooting machine in 5 seconds. 2) In x86 64 bits mode, 64 bits UP Linux VMX could not boot successfully Old issues: =========================1).In x86 64 bits mode: Base kernel Linux guest OS crash, and "xm dmesg" complains: (XEN) x86_emulate.c:1224:d166 Access faulted on page boundary (cr2=ffffffff80101000,ea=80101004). (XEN) x86_emulate.c:461:d166 Instr: 48 c7 05 8d 0b fe ff 00 00 00 00 eb 2e 48 b8 ff .... (XEN) sh error: sh_remove_shadows(): can''t find all shadows of mfn a396e (shadow_flags=00001000) (XEN) domain_crash called from common.c:2103 (XEN) Domain 166 (vcpu#0) crashed on cpu#0: 2). In x86 64bits mode, 64bit vista VMX shows a blue screen when vcpus=2 Bugs have been fixed: ========================1). IA32E: With ACPI=1, Linux guest OS will stop at some place during the process of booting bug has been fixed. 2).
