I understand that guest OS like XenoLinux can only use one CPU. If I have a multi CPU machine and boot xen + only 1 XenoLinux, I''ll only end up using one CPU. However if I boot a second XenoLinux, it will be able to use the second CPU. However if I boot a third XenoLinux, it will be able to use the third CPU. .............. Is it true ? If yes, does one XenoLinux support multi cpu in futur? Best Regards. Valerie.
Valerie Thats true. If you look on the website: cl.cam.ac.uk/Research/SRG/netos/xen/roadmap.html It says that feature will be in the 2.0 release. ~ 4 months Tom On 24 May 2004, at 16:07, valerie galey wrote:> I understand that guest OS like XenoLinux can only use one CPU. > If I have a multi CPU machine and boot xen + only 1 XenoLinux, I''ll > only end up using one CPU. > However if I boot a second XenoLinux, it will be able to use the > second CPU. > However if I boot a third XenoLinux, it will be able to use the > third CPU. > .............. > Is it true ? > If yes, does one XenoLinux support multi cpu in futur? > Best Regards. > Valerie. > >------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: Oracle 10g Get certified on the hottest thing ever to hit the market...
