Over the last week it has taken over 15 hours for a message I posted to be sent back to me. It takes 14+ of those hours to get to sc8-sf-list1.sourceforge.net, and then minutes to be sent back out to me. Apparently almost all of the time is spent being routed through vasoftware.com nodes, what gives? paul ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: The SF.net Donation Program. The mailing list archives go off line frequently, and the download mirroring can hardly be described as reliable. Having said that, there aren''t many places that will let you put up a 600MB iso image for download by 12,000 people ;-) Ian ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: The SF.net Donation Program. Hosting the iso on sourceforge does not obligate you to use the mailing lists. -Kip ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: The SF.net Donation Program. It hasn''t got the all-important web archive facility either. I could investigate setting up majordomo, but since we''d be the only users it''s probably not ideal from a reliability POV. Another possibility is to use jiscmail.ac.uk which I''ve heard works well. I''m open to suggestions/recommendations...
