Xapian discuss - Jun 2015 - bindings for php 7

Hi,

PHP 7 is expected in a few month and nightly builds are already available.

Do you plan to include bindings for PHP 7 in next release ?

I'm not aware of anybody having looked at this yet, but have you tried
building the current bindings for PHP 7?  I didn't think they were
planning to break the PHP C API.

If changes are needed, patches would definitely be welcome.

I patched the configure script to authorize php 7 but bindings don't
compile.
They do break the php api as described here:
https://wiki.php.net/phpng-upgrading
