I've uploaded Xapian 1.0.7, which as usual you can download from: http://xapian.org/download This release fixes an assortment of bugs, and improves efficiency in a few cases. It's intended to be a relatively safe incremental update over 1.0.6. For a more detailed overview see: http://trac.xapian.org/wiki/ReleaseOverview/1.0.7 The full lists of user-visible changes are linked to from there, and are also available via the "[news]" links on the download page. As always, if you encounter problems, please report them here, or to the bugtracker. Search::Xapian 1.0.7.0 should appear within a week. Debian and Ubuntu packages will probably have to wait a week or so (pesky broadband cap!) Cheers, Olly

CPAN mirrors can take a day or so to update, but it's also available from here if you're impatient: http://oligarchy.co.uk/xapian/1.0.7/Search-Xapian-1.0.7.0.tar.gz Changes since 1.0.6.0: - Handle exceptions from Xapian::Stem constructor (reported by Joey Hess in Debian BTS #486138). - Fix testcase in t/parser.t for improved behaviour of xapian-core. - Actually fill in @Search::Xapian::DB_NAMES. - Search::Xapian::Query->new(<OP>, <TERMS>) now allows integers and numbers as terms - these are coerced to strings as with standard Perl parameter passing. Cheers, Olly

For details of how to use this, see http://xapian.org/download Note that the GPG key I was signing releases with has expired (one of the complications) so you'll need to import a new key for the signatures on the packages to be accepted. Enrico has uploaded the packages to Debian unstable. It's unclear to me at this point if they will make the next Debian or Ubuntu release. Cheers, Olly
