Xapian discuss - Jan 2008 - Error accessing Debian etch apt respository

I have these entries in /etc/apt/sources.list on a Debian etch
machine:

deb http://www.xapian.org/debian stable main
deb-src http://www.xapian.org/debian stable main

(as documented at http://xapian.org/download.php)

When I do "apt-get update" I get this error:

Failed to fetch
http://www.xapian.org/debian/dists/stable/main/binary-i386/Packages.gz
404 Not Found

Any ideas?

Hmm, there still seems to be some confusion about what's "stable"
and
what's "etch".  I thought I'd resolved that, but apparently
not.

For now, I've added symlinks so it should work again.  Thanks for
reporting this.
