I've uploaded Xapian 1.0.5, which as usual you can download from:
http://www.xapian.org/download.php
Some highlights:
The new Xapian::Sorter class allows more sophisticated sorting of search
results. There's also a new document covering all the different sorting
options which Xapian provides.
Running a match on a single remote database is now more efficient.
Omega's omindex indexer now handles uppercase file extensions better,
and limits the RAM which filter programs can use to help avoid problems
with runaway filters.
In Python, we no longer drop the GIL during Xapian.MSet.items or
Xapian.ESet.items which could have led to undefined behaviour in
multithreaded environments.
For an broader overview see:
http://wiki.xapian.org/ReleaseOverview/1.0.5
The full lists of user-visible changes are linked to from there, and are
also available via the "[news]" links on the download page.
As always, if you encounter problems, please report them here, or to
the bugtracker.
Search::Xapian 1.0.5.0 and Debian and Ubuntu packages may be delayed by
the approaching holiday season.
Cheers,
Olly
